HOTEL EL VELERO

The Hotel Playa Hermosa Bosque del Mar is situated right at the beach with the same name. It offers just about everything you'll need for a perfect beach vacation. Lush gardens with hundred year old trees, a large swimming pool with Jacuzzi, peace and tranquility and of course one of the nicest and safest beaches protected by the Gulf of Papapagayo.

  

Sailing tours are offered daily on the hotel's own 38 foot Beneteau sloop. Day tours are 5 hours with daily departures at approximately 10 a.m. leaving from the beach side of the hotel. As the sails unfold, you will sail with the captain and his mate to a deserted beach for an afternoon of snorkelling, beach-cave exploring, and sunning. See a variety of sea life and birds in their own habitat. Dolphins, sea turtles, flying fish and other incredible sites await. Romantic Sunset tours depart at approximately 3:00 p.m. and include an open bar returning around 6:30 p.m. to the hotel.

The garden terrace restaurant and bar features fantastic fresh seafood, International dishes and local specialties. The chef has been on staff for nearly a decade and is determined to create cuisine that will delight. When we are in the Playa Hermosa Area, the Hotel El Velero is always a must stop to eat, have a drink and go to the beach. The bar has a nightly sunset "happy hour" and a full selection of beverages.

T he Standard Rooms of the Hotel El Velero feature two double beds or a king-size bed and a private bathroom with warm water, ceiling fans, air-conditioning, safe in room, hot water showers, and daily maid service. Other features are beachfront access, Oceanside hammocks, chairs and tables, swimming pool, daily tours on hotel owned sailboat, garden terrace with dining area, and full service bar and restaurant.
