Pueblo Antiguo is a theme park, which shows the architectural infrastructure that existed in San Jose in the beginning of the XX century.

It is a place composed of recreations of old buildings. It has activities such as folkloric dances, professional actor’s masquerades and other memories traditions.

A center for culture, fun, and the conservation of Costa Rican traditions, Pueblo Antiguo allows both foreign and national visitors the opportunity to better understand this fascinating country and its history.

The different constructions in this unique theme park highlight the various architectural styles found in Costa Rica between 1880 and 1930.

The main objective of Pueblo Antiguo is to bring alive Costa Rican traditions and this is made possible with a combination of live actors, oxcarts, horses, cattle, train, horse-drawn carriages, boats, live music, folk dances, restaurants and shops, all of which present a vibrant, living experience allusive to the past.
